“DMV up-and-comer Ced Hughes has hooked up with DJBooth.net to bring listeners his latest street release,One Day We’ll Wake Up.

A DIY project recorded entirely in Hughes’ spare bedroom, the project features 23 fresh tracks’ worth of new material. Included are reader-approved leaks “Top Priority,” “Lights!,” “Youth Blood” and “The Sh*t.”

Joining Hughes on the guest tip throughout One Day are Donwill (of Tanya Morgan), Che Grand and !Attie. In addition to the artist’s own production, the project features beats by Gabe Niles, Chad Hugo (of The Neptunes), The DO, Xaphoon Jones, Royskopp and more.”

1 of my favorites from Rebel E’s finest, Ced Hughes. This fully original project follows a theme of imagery from the first track being morning rise to carry you all the way to the end of the day. Keep that in mind while listening.

He was also the opening act for band Rekapse (signed by Timbaland) at the Locals Lounge show at the Norva on the 30th. These are just a few recent buzzers, not to mention his show at ASC in Hampton and several others.
